get a free 12seconds.tv invite

Now I’ve got more 12seconds.tv invites than what I know to do with. 12seconds.tv is this free web app that lets you record 12-second videos via your webcam. No software download required, assuming you already have Adobe Flash player installed. That 12-second limit is sorta like the 140-character limit over at twitter.

Add a comment or email me your email address, and I’ll get you one. You don’t have to add a creative comment, you just need to get your request in before this Sunday.

Invite-O-Rama!

We’re getting closer to going to a public beta. This means that soon we’ll be opening up. Over the past month since our launch we have been busy re-architecting our backend to support ~10 billion people recording video simultaneously. To test our load, we’re going to give everyone unlimited invites for 4 days (Thur-Sun).

@kingsley 12seconds.tv lets you record a short 12-second video via a web interface, no software needed (except Adobe Flash Player, which 90%+ have). As for purpose, that's up to each person.

I think of 12seconds as a video version of Twitter. I think of Seesmic like video commenting.

@soverpeck 1 of the main difference between seesmic is time limit — 12seconds has just 12 seconds maximum; seesmic has at least 4 minutes (couldn't find answer quickly).. and user interface differences; seesmic looks like it has more “hooks” for integration with other apps, like WordPress, Disqus, probably others..

Creative Comment hmmm. I'm a former youth pastor so I've used up all of my Creativity. I'm currently planting a church and looking into missionary work in Alaska. So you can see that a 12second.tv account would be an huge help.

I'd like an invite, I know it's too late.

Jesse, would love to give you an invite, but they won't let me have any more. Everything turned into a pumpkin midnight last night. :(

    Want a pumpkin?

(I really hope I'm not too late — thanks for sending me an invite — have lots of great 12 sec videos!)

Sorry, Margaret, it is too late, for this go around. 12seconds.tv was only generous for a week. It'll soon be open beta, so just a little patience…
