grateful for new friends in a new place
Part of being in a new place is meeting new friends. This week got to meetup with Mike Foster at a great meetup place called Zov’s, a family-owned restaurant with an incredible spread of foods, and even 2 different dining venues, a cafe and a bistro. Mike’s creative genius is on full tilt, having been a part of xxxchurch.com’s startup, and now spinning many plates in the air like ethur, junky car club, and the porn talk. Yes, a most helpful resource for parents to have that “talk” much needed in the society we find ourselves in. Mike has a new book coming out in a week oddly titled Deadly Viper Character Assassins. Unusual book title akin to Batterson’s In a Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day. The book has interviews with different experts on leadership and character, and my insider source tells me that this book will have a great set of associated video clips on DVD as discussion starters for a leadership team to get abuzz about critical issues. That’s brilliant!
And, got word that Steve Choi will launch his new church plant with a commissioning service this Sunday. They’ve got a church name now, Crossway Community Church, launching in Brea.
