Register by tomorrow for Catalyst sweet deal
Catalyst Conference has become the big deal event for charging up next generation leaders, coming ’round on maybe 10,000 in attendance? Tomorrow is the last day for early registration for tickets as low as $239 each. Plus, get a free Sweet Tea from Chick-fil-A. [ht: Catablog]
Or, just sign up for their weekly free XBOX drawing. They’ve gots to be insane to just give those away!
I’ll see if I can finesse a blog-driven marketing special, and get you all a discount code for bloggers. The organizers are already spending marketing dollars on all kinds of other channels, but I don’t see one (yet?) for the grassroot word-of-mouse viral blogosphere. Andy Stanley probably doesn’t read my blog, but I know he reads pomomusings. Maybe he get a rate code setup just for bloggers and let’s see the proof in the pudding!
I got to go to Catalyst last year and it was a blast. I highly recommend it for any person in any kind of church leadership to go. Besides, you might get into the Guiness Book of World Records like we did last year. Everyone at Catalyst had a Whoopie cushion that we set off at once getting the record for the most Whoopie cushions set off at the same time. Oh, and the speakers were good too about how to reach those in our communities.
I’m sure Catalyst is great (as far as church ministry conferences go), but unless you have a hefty church budget behind you, I think $200 is prohibitively steep for a lot of folks (not to mention travel costs, hotel, meals, etc.).
So, having said that DJ, I commend you for trying to get that blogger discount! Maybe if they want some “free” publicity, they should invite some of us to attend for free in exchange for live-blogging the sessions
