2001 has been a tumultuous year
2001 has been a tumultuous roller coaster year for me, and through it all, God has shown Himself faithful and trustworthy.. even tho’ much of the time, life didn’t make sense, I held on by blind faith.. the past few days, I’ve used my time to update my boy’s web page, and it was nice to re-read the stories of his early years… I’ve also got my computers at home networked together, so they can both be online at the same time sharing one phone line.. I put an online ad for pen pals on digitalcity.com last week, and have gotten a handful of responses (hello visitors!) – I do pretty good in replying to them, usually referring them to my web site to get a bigger picture of various items that I’d be interested in conversing about.. that’s pared down the pen pals to a few.. I think there are many people who are happy with chit-chat and small talk, and you know what, they’re a dime a dozen.. you can get that anywhere(!), but to get a substantive meaningful conversation about life, those are harder to find.. and then, if you’d like to have heart-to-heart conversations where people are open and honest, transparent and vulnerable, well, good luck
I’ll reiterate here that I uphold an “open book” policy, that I let my life show, inside and out, nothing to hide, as a testimony to what God can do in this little person.. happy new year!

Derek’s Big Website of WalMart Purchase Receipts
now here is a trivial site, somebody with an obsession for shopping at Wal-Mart (which the press has noted as changing the retail landscape, along with Target, in these recession times), and not only keeping his receipts, but putting them online for all to see

RentmyDVD.com rent DVDs online
RentmyDVD.com
rent DVDs online and get them by mail, it’s the hottest thing since Netflix got some good press about profitability; I had been using CafeDVD.com myself for a while, and now come to find there’s a whole buncha them out there, including DVDBarn.com, NeoRental.com, DVDWave.com, and DVDWhiz.com, which has the most aggressive pricing I’ve seen to date
